Warehouse / Receiving Clerk - Part Time
The Part-Time (20 hours per week) Packaing Assembler will be responsible for performing various functions associated with the processing, packaging and insertion of the newspaper products.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing workloads and schedules
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, independently without direct supervision
- Previous Newspaper packaging, production line or warehouse experience a plus
- Pallet jack operation experience a plus
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monitor nightly press runs at Signature Graphics.
- Spot check bundle counts on pallet loads.
- Spot check bundle sizes for accuracy.
- Accurately maintain truck times report.
- Monitor front page notes for zoned accuracy.
- Receive National products, process and build truck loads by appropriate distributor.
- Seek out opportunities for efficiencies in workflow.
- Assist with nightly planning of Oregonian and National pub runs. (when needed)
- Fill out nightly Oregonian reports.
- Report problems with products or equipment to supervisor promptly.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be available to work evenings/nights. Production manufacturing environment with elevated noise levels requiring use of personal protective equipment. Primarily standing position. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds and push/pull up to 75 pounds. Repetitive bending, stooping and twisting handling newspaper bundles and inserts.
