Emergency Vehicle Technician

Bainbridge Island Fire Department is seeking an experienced, hardworking individual for the position of Emergency Vehicle Technician.

The Position

BIFD operates an on-site maintenance facility out of Fire Station 22, its southernmost station. The Department maintains and repairs its fire apparatus and staff vehicles. The Emergency Vehicle Technician analyzes vehicle malfunctions and performs scheduled maintenance and repairs on a variety of standard and specialized apparatus and vehicles.

Compensation and Benefits

$73,156.14 to $91,445.18 annually; starting salary is dependent upon experience.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent and minimum seven (7) years full-time experience as heavy diesel truck or automotive mechanic required. Fire apparatus maintenance experience desired. Must currently possess a Washington state air-brake certification. Copies of current certifications will be required.
