The City of Kirkland Parks Department is seeking people to fill more than twenty seasonal positions.
If you are looking for a full-time seasonal job, we have openings that begin in June with a variety of schedules available. This position will perform general labor tasks and operate equipment as assigned for maintenance and/or development of the City's parks. All assignments perform manual labor tasks using hand and power tools. Positions may maintain park facilities and public grounds, prepare and groom ball fields, empty garbage, mow and trim grass and/or clean the City’s swimming pool. Above tasks relate to the fall cleanup and winterization of the parks sites.

Typically 40 hours/week. Work shifts will vary and include nights and weekends. Part time options available.Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to operate basic hand and power tools and equipment, drive a pickup, maintain a valid Washington State Drivers License, and function effectively as a team player. These positions require successful completion of a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act.Preferred Qualifications
Previous municipal experience in Parks maintenance or landscape maintenance preferred.Working Conditions & Physical Activities
Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather; lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds; climb into and out of trenches and climb ladders.Selection Process
