Your job in the department is to . . .
Under direction, plans, organizes, and manages engineering and construction management projects including design and construction of City public works facilities including streets, utility systems, reservoirs, treatment plants, public building, and other projects as assigned; prepares plans and specifications; performs engineering studies; manages contract services; and responds to questions and inquiries from the general public, developers, contractors, engineering professionals, and City staff regarding engineering and development projects. This position also assists with private development review.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Job Conditions: All staff positions at the City are required to be available to report to work during off hours in case of emergency and perform duties as assigned. Evening meetings may be required.
Work Location: City of Snohomish
Travel Primarily within City limits to city facilities, occasionally outside the city to attend trainings, recruitment activities, and other functions as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Environment: Standard office setting; frequent interaction with City staff and the general public; exposure to moderate noise levels. Indoor and outdoor environments; travel from site to site; incumbents may be exposed to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, and inclement weather conditions; work around heavy construction equipment; work or inspect in confined spaces.
Physical: Incumbents require sufficient mobility to work in an office setting; stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; requires a sense of touch, finger dexterity, and gripping with hands and fingers; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; light lifting and carrying; ability to verbally communicate to exchange information. Incumbents require sufficient mobility to walk, stand, bend, stoop, or climb for prolonged periods of time; work with and around equipment and machinery; moderate or light lifting and carrying; operate motorized equipment and vehicles; ability to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
