FISCAL SERVICES MANAGER

Position is responsible for oversight and development of the biennial operating budget, multi-year capital budget, long-range forecasting and analysis of fiscal performance. Performs supervisory and advanced fiscal control and budgetary work for the department. Monitors, implements, and makes recommendations for the improvement of internal controls, processes, policies and procedures. Ensures the proper implementation of financial procedures and reporting standards.
Work involves assisting the City Administrator with establishing and managing the City’s budgetary plans, policies and practices to include Citywide strategic initiatives, programs and performance measurements. Employee must exercise independent judgment, initiative, critical thinking, and attention to detail in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Preferred requirements include possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, public administration, economics, business administration, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license desired. Minimum 5 yrs. experience working with complex automated financial systems, spreadsheet applications, and governmental accounting, budget analysis, purchasing, cost-benefit analysis and/or economic and financial analysis, including at least 2 yrs. of supervisory responsibility; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Annual salary range is $98,892 to $112,392 (plus comprehensive benefits).
