Dawson Construction, LLC is searching for a Proposal Marketing Coordinator to join our Bellingham, WA Office. This position is responsible for leading the proposal project pursuit process, creating advertisements, press releases, presentations and marketing materials, branding consistency, website, social media, and graphic design. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic worker who loves learning new things and taking on challenging projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Proposals/Project Pursuit
- Leading the proposal process to ensure a high-quality response and timely submission.
- Developing technical written content that specifically responds to the RFP questions
- Work as part of a proposal team to lead responding to RFPs, RFQs and similar solicitations
- Initiate and lead the proposal development process by generating the responsibility matrix and designing the proposal layout based on solicitation requirements
- Schedule and lead pursuit team meetings, including proposal kick-off calls and brainstorming sessions
- Conduct compliance reviews and editing sessions
- Generate pursuit-specific written and graphic content including templates/forms, project profiles, key personnel resumes, cover letters, printing/binding, and final packaging
- Coordinate and prepare documents including financial information, bonding capacity, insurance information, safety program/record, technical approach narrative, schedules, list of past/current projects, brochures, etc.
- Ensure on-time production and delivery of proposals
- Preparing presentations and materials for project interviews
- Marketing & Communications
- Branding including consistency and design creation for company apparel, advertisements and promotions, safety materials, jobsite signage, and special projects
- Project and Team Member Photography Coordination, Processing, and Management
- Website Management and online presence (SEO, website updates, and management)
- Create and distribute monthly Company Newsletter including sourcing and writing stories, photos, creating graphics, planning, and distribution to employees, jobsites, and select clients and partners.
- Social Media Management and Content Creation (Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Subscriptions and Memberships Management
- Press Releases (creation, distribution, relationship management)
- Open Job Advertisements, descriptions, and postings (creation, coordination, placement)
Qualifications:
- A/E/C industry experience preferred
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator (Knowledge of Photoshop is a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, in person and virtually
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems
- Understanding of branding with a keen attention to detail and design consistency
- Ability to work with many different people across various departments, positions, and levels of the company
- Ability to represent the company in a highly professional manner
- Able to work independently and with various teams
- Desire to learn new skills and continuously improve
