Senior HR Generalist
Description
The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing a combination of two functional areas of the human resources department to maintain a competent and productive workforce. Duties include executing strategies for implementing training and organizational development initiatives, satisfies training needs by researching and designing training programs and introducing new trends in training and development to meet the Casino's overall goals and objectives. Supervise the Employee Relations division by supporting an innovative team environment through a creative approach to problem solving and continuous learning. Manage all employment issues to include but not limited to investigations, corrective actions, recommendations, development and implementation and other employee related functions as needed. Coordinates Employee Relations programs and promotes positive employee relations through established Employee Recognition Programs.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
Experience & Requirements:
- Minimum five years' experience in Human Resource to include employment law
- Three years' experience in Employee Relations, Organizational Development and Training is required
- Previous supervisory experience is required
- Experience using HRIS Software is required
- Previous experience working for a tribal organization (preferred)
- Experience with MS Office Suite and Visio is required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Must have good hand and eye coordination
- Must have good manual and finger dexterity
- Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Upon offer must obtain a Class IIIA Gaming License ($273 - $335)
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
