Do you get excited about the prospect of finding value in data?   Are you motivated by the evolving research that is driven by the patterns we find in the data that is all around us? Your skills could be used to help wildland firefighters leverage data to prepare for the next fire season, or to help urban fire departments allocate resources by using objective data to find underserved areas.  If that is compelling to you, then ER may be the right place to leverage your skills and experience.

The Business Intelligence Developer (BI Dev) is a thought leader in the company, and they mentor other members of the Development Team on the use and visualization of data.  As a senior member of the team, they are a key player in setting the technical direction for the implementation of customer requirements, and they play a central role in the creation, implementation and management of data models.

The BI Development team works with data pipelines to transform and manipulate raw business data into reportable, actionable information for our customers through high quality Power BI reports. As ER’s product offering around data grows, the BI Dev will also be responsible for designing and implementing new BI solutions. The BI Dev may also be asked to contribute to ER’s internal BI needs to improve transparency and accountability across our business.

As a SaaS company, our software engineers ship code based on an Agile software development lifecycle.  We deliver new features and bug fixes into the hands of our customers within weeks, not months or years.  We support and encourage your desire to take on big challenges, and we will give you the tools and training that you need to succeed. With your technical expertise you will manage your own projects, tasks, deadlines and deliverables. You will design, develop, maintain, unit test, and enhance your software, and you will partner with your peers in Test and IT that will conduct functional tests and deploy your code.
