Sr. Applications Engineer
HEATCON COMPOSITE SYSTEMS, INC. seeks a SR. APPLICATIONS ENGINEER in Seattle, WA to engineer and design composite products for aircraft manufacturers, commercial airlines, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO); engineer and design products that follows the OSHA and HEATCON product safety policies; design safety components for implementation into HEATCON’s current products such as hot bonders, heat blankets and other custom equipment; diagnose HEATCON equipment issues, including performing minor repairs and calibration of HEATCON hot bonders, heat blankets and other custom equipment; assist and definition, development and implementation of electrical and mechanical components and assemblies as defined by client or company's needs and requirements; manage projects regarding custom build/complex aerospace composite product/ equipment projects such as debulking and curing table, RepairClave, 3D formed heat blankets, and double vacuum debulking chamber, to ensure that our products meet client’s requirements such as application, technical, and delivery time; provide technical assistance and guidance to internal HEATCON team with respect to assembly procedures, processes, and client requirements; design and create preliminary configurations by using 3D design software for new HEATCON’s products and product improvement projects; use 2D/3D design software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD to provide technical recommendations, key solutions, and sketches to client; provide technical review and guidance for manufacturability, tooling requirements, and part/component solutions including identifying part and component alternates based on client requirements/applications; research, design and engineer composite products, equipment systems, and/or processes to meet customer requirements; research, test, or analyze the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of composite repair systems to be used on Aircraft components, airframes and engine cowlings, nacelles and thrust reversers; and research and design products to use for testing to analyze feasibility, operations, and performance.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelors in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering field of study such as Mechanical & Structural Engineering and 24 months experience as Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or related Engineering experience.
