Under delegated authority of the Tribal Administrator, the Deputy Tribal Administrator will oversee daily operations and contracted programs of the tribe. Delegated responsibilities will include, but are not necessarily limited to; planning, reviewing, and monitoring budgets, contract and grant compliance and establishing and evaluating department goals. Must have a Master's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or related field from an accredited university; and five (5) years' experience managerial/supervisory experience in a federally recognized tribe; must pass a complete criminal and financial background check, pre-employment drug screening. Must possess a current valid Alaska driver's license and acceptable driving record as determined by the Tribe's insurance company. Preference given to qualified Native American applicants in accordance with 25 CFR.
Salary Grade: 16/18 ($86,943/$105,202.50;dependent on capabilities, education, and experience).
