Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)

INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES seek a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in Seattle, WA to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to ICHS patients, in addition to WIC and First Steps nutrition consults. Represents ICHS in the local community health fairs and community Kitchen as a nutrition expert. Offers nutrition guidance and advice to Health Educators, Community Advocates, Child Birth Educators and Behavioral Health staff. Provides nutritional diagnosis and Medical Nutrition Therapy to ICHS patients with chronic diseases and other nutrition-related health problems. Provides individual case management for ICHS patients with Diabetes. Communicates regularly with healthcare providers in order to facilitate collaborative planning for follow-up of patients with diabetes and other nutrition related health problems. Participates in developing, assessing and revising diabetes education curriculum and teaching materials, as needed. Serves as the Nutritionist for the Maternity Support Services (MSS). Serves as a resource on cross cultural nutritional issues to community groups. Reviews, selects and/or develops nutrition educational materials for ICHS Clinic patients. Provides Nutrition in-services and updates to clinic staff, as needed. Develops and documents individual nutrition care plans for high-risk WIC Nutrition participants, and provides individual nutrition counseling. Performs other WIC/ Nutrition duties such as enrolling new clients, making appointments, certifying clients, etc. as needed. Selects and/or develops nutrition education materials for WIC/Nutrition participants. Attends WIC/Nutrition meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed. Conducts Breastfeeding education to WIC/Nutrition clients and teach Breastfeeding classes as needed. Ensures that State and Federal WIC/Nutrition program guidelines and voucher security policies are strictly adhered.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors in Nutrition, Public Health or related degree AND 6 months experience as Dietician or related position and/or internships providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).  

Offered Wage: $51,002 to $96,700 per year.
