Job Summary
Functions as a member of the senior management team; directs all mission program services including development and implementation of new programs. Acts as liaison with all departments within the organization, and with the public, to ensure company mission is followed. Provides leadership and vision to Job Training and Education programs by ensuring mission services, community partnerships and collaborative efforts are delivered communicating a compelling and inspiring vision for Seattle Goodwill. Manages staff by providing feedback, support, development, and overseeing staff.
Essential Functions:
Create and implement a vision for Seattle Goodwill's mission programs and services that optimizes the organization's capacity to meet the needs of individuals, employers and the community within its seven-county territory.
Integrate Seattle Goodwill's mission to include students and SGI employees.
Evaluate the relevance, quality and effectiveness of program services; recommend and implement changes to refine programs and services where necessary; develop, implement, and maintain performance outcome measurement systems.
Expand programs and/or services beyond existing JTE Centers and into communities within SGI's operating territory.
Serve as a senior organizational leader.
Develop and implement partnerships & strategies to reach communities that are underserved.
Network with community organizations. Effectively articulate the organizations goals and its mission to a wide audience through a myriad of avenues.
Participate in strategic planning and decision making at the leadership level and lead program staff in the development and implementation of long-range strategic plans.
Serve as a principal advisor and consultant to the President/CEO.
Develop annual operating and capital budgets for program services; implement and manage budgets and budget-reporting systems.
Ensure technology resources are available to enhance student learning and instructor effectiveness.
Directly support philanthropy and marketing and communications efforts, including but not limited to grant writing, fundraising, and public relations efforts.
Provides support for respective Board committees.
Develop revenue opportunities for Seattle Goodwill Programs.
Upholds safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; train and educate employees of safety requirements; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements
Education: Master's degree preferred
Experience: 10 or more years of professional adult education leadership with current expertise in employment and training needs of people with barriers to employment. These include but are not limited to: training and educational requirements of the businesses that hire them, extensive knowledge of adult basic education best practices and current theory, and demonstrable results driving impact through measureable outcomes. Fundraising experience essential.
Specific Skills/Knowledge/Licenses: Able to Inspire and motivate board, staff, trainees and the community. 7+ year's hands-on experience in executive leadership. Experience working with diverse and transitional populations. Proven commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, with demonstrable results. Dedication to providing a high quality product, and continuous quality improvement.
Essential Physical Abilities:
Able to safely lift/push/pull up to 15 lbs.; reach above head level; full range of body motion with the ability to stoop, bend and squat; grasp, handle, finger and manipulate items; perform repetitive fine motor functions with fingers, wrists and arms, including but not limited to keyboards and calculators. Able to move through a wide variety of physical environments without assistance; including ramps, stairs, small spaces and uneven terrain. Able to communicate with others effectively, verbally and in writing; including those who have limited English skills, large groups and small groups and individuals. Able to use standard office equipment without assistance.
