WORK SCHEDULE: This position is overtime eligible, 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday but must be available to work after hours, weekends, and holidays upon management request. This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and overtime eligible.

Administrative Duties:
- Provide administrative and office management support to Signals and Signs Maintenance Superintendent, (2) Supervisors and maintenance staff of 30+ employees.
- Process and date stamp mail and related correspondence or information before forwarding mail to staff; identify and prioritize time sensitive matters.
- Compose, proofread, and edit written materials to include skill in proofing and formatting documents, charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and tables.
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers, dispatch and/or submit emergency request to supervisors, leads, and field staff; research citizen action requests and projects in City Works program and provide information and/or reports.
- Responsible for entering employee timesheets into PeopleSoft payroll including accurate budget charge coding on employee daily timesheets for multiple projects.
- Research and resolve labor and equipment discrepancies for cities and other customers.
- Prepare and process invoices for other County departments (purchases made by traffic staff to be used for projects for other County departments).
- Enter invoices into Oracle, scan and email invoices to appropriate County department personnel for authorization, and track authorizations are completed.
- Responsible for accounts payable operations; including accurate budget charge coding and tracking by project; budget charge reconciliation for multiple projects in Oracle.
- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
- A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible administrative assistance experience, as described in the job duties, or any combination of experience/education/training related to the duties of this position and required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience processing payroll and accounts payables.
- Knowledge of general office principles and practices.
- Proficient using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word software applications.
- Effective communication skills in person, via telephone and in writing (effectively using discretion, patience, etiquette, and professionalism).
- Ability to work on multiple tasks requiring a high degree of accuracy in a high pressure/short deadline/precise schedule environment.
- Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality with sensitive and personal information.
- Ability to be self-directed and effectively plan, organize, prioritize work on a daily basis.
- Ability to effectively be part of a team that contributes to a work environment that embraces and encourages diversity in its workforce and where differences are valued.
- Ability to demonstrate behaviors that include fairness, respect, and inclusiveness.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Knowledge of PeopleSoft payroll system. Knowledge of City Works.
- End-user knowledge of Oracle EBS.
- Experience working in a public works environment.
NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS:- Valid Washington State Driver's License or the ability to travel to downtown Seattle in a timely manner.
