Administrator I - Professional Services Program
- Summary
The primary focus of this position will be providing administrative and program support to the Professional Services Program of Public Health - Seattle & King County (PHSKC). This career service position is 0.8 FTE and works four eight-hour days. This position will primarily telecommute, although onsite work at the Chinook Building or other public health locations may be required.

- Provides general administrative support for Professional Services. Includes calendar management, travel arrangements, supply procurement (including creating/tracking of DVS), scheduling meetings/coordinating rooms, and composing letters.
- Programmatic support for Allied Health Professionals Credentialing, Pharmacy and Employee Health
- Contract, license tracking and monitoring for all services to include deliverables.
- Coordination, maintenance, and technical support of audio-visual equipment (laptop, projector and sound station) and responsibility for teaching aids.
- As directed, this position edits and formats various forms and documents in various file formats (Word, PDF, Excel). This may involve the use of specialized software programs, such as Adobe Illustrator, Learning Management System, Cority, Visio, and Photo Shop.
- Report composition upon request.
- Budgetary support and monitoring for all programs within Professional Services to include the identification and analysis of financial information, including identifying revenues, expenditures and investigating discrepancies.
- Compose, draft, summarize, prepare, proofread and/or edit documents, contracts, ordinances, motions and/or correspondence to ensure these conform to the appropriate use of the English language, specialized terminology and established procedures.
- Process mail that may require attaching related correspondence or information before forwarding, respond to mail that can be handled personally, identify priority and/or time sensitive matters and maintain security and confidentiality.

- Skilled in basic knowledge of financial principles and practices
- Working knowledge of general office policies, principles and practices.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based applications
- Demonstrated ability to employ proper English grammar, usage and spelling.
- Knowledge of action tracking techniques and processes to support multiple program needs simultaneously.
- Keyboarding skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform supply monitoring and procurement functions.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems within scope of the position.
- Basic knowledge of information gathering techniques and principles for research assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to track multiple tasks of moderate complexity and to change priorities as situations may require it.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with diverse clients, under varying degrees of stress, with discretion, patience, etiquette and professionalism.

This position is is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime. This position is .80FTE working four days each for eight hours. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
Work Location:The home base for this position is Chinook Building located in Downtown Seattle, Chinook Building, 401 5th Ave.
Telecommuting:
The work associated with this position will be performed through teleworking with reporting to office location, and in person meetings as needed. Possible return in the office TBD. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. King County is doing its part to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and remains committed to reducing our carbon footprint.
