As a member of the Wastewater treatment Division (WTD) you are part of a team helping to protect our environment in a socially conscious way. As an Administrator you will be a key team member supporting WTD’s critical work and have exposure to a wide variety of work, it never gets boring.Wastewater Treatment Division, a division within Department of Natural Resources and Parks, is organized into sections, units, and groups. These positions provide critical administrative support to their section’s leadership and general staff.

Work in the Wastewater Treatment Division is constantly evolving and requires the ability to balance multiple tasks and goals, including learning; manage projects; and problem solving in a timely manner. Solving these problems requires the ability to quickly adapt to new situations, to listen and to communicate in ways others can understand.
The successful candidate can expect work assignments to progressively increase in scope, complexity, and expectations commensurate with their demonstrated abilities and interests. We strive to provide learning opportunities with work tasks when possible and focus on developing a wide breadth of knowledge.- Job Duties
- Administrative tasks such as calendar management, meeting coordination, setup and notetaking, travel coordination/planning, and payment processing.
- Assist the section with Human Resource recruitment processes, onboarding, off boarding, and related duties.
- Process coordinator and support. Coordinate processes for the division and/or section, such as Procurement/Travel Card Coordinator for the division/section which manages expense records and process P-Card requests for the division/section. Support other process coordinators as a back-up.
- Policy coordinator. Assist in policy reviews and document management. Serve as the subject matter expert or resource on financial policies such as the meal/refreshment and reimbursement policies.
- Policy library development and management.
- Committee Representation. Represent the section on committees, such as the Equity and Social Justice Committee, and assist with policy development and implementation.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Increasingly responsible office or administrative support experience with at least 3 years of experience in supporting a group or team of employees OR an equivalent combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the work.

Telecommuting and King Street Center
The work associated with this position will be performed predominantly by telecommuting, with occasional onsite work and meetings, as influenced by business needs. Employee will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required by the department in alignment with the Public Health Directive from the Seattle & King County Public Health Officer. King County is doing its part to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and remains committed to reducing our carbon footprint.
To support employees during this time King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will be joining an innovative and progressive team.
Work Location: Primarily teleworking and the King Street Center 201 S. Jackson St., Seattle WA 98104. There will be an expectation to travel to various worksites throughout King and South Snohomish County as needed for your work
Work Schedule: This position is non-exempt from the overtime provision of the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible. This full-time position works a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
Union Representation: Teamsters Local 117 Professional & Technical and Administrative Support collective bargaining agreement. Pursuant to Article 14.4 Western Conference of Teamster Pension Trust, $1.00 per hour from the base wage will be submitted to the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust Fund.
