This position will assist with grounds and maintenance by maintaining lawns and the landscape surrounding the facility in treatment plants and offsite at various stations working outside.

  • West Point Treatment Plant - 1400 Discovery Park Blvd, Seattle, WA 98199
Work Schedule:

Temporary Positions - up to 6 months of work (ending around October/November, or up to 960 hours, whichever comes first). This position can work up to 40 hours per week. Workweeks vary depending on work assignment and location, you may work on a 4/10 or 5/8 shift schedule, depending on business needs and work location.

Job Duties

Your work will be performed onsite. Duties include operate mowers, high-pressure washer, pruning tools, maintain sprinklers and related equipment. Assist personnel in maintenance and cleaning of facilities including clean floors, windows, various surfaces and hose various tanks, sidewalks, and surrounding areas. Assist maintenance and operations personnel by performing general laborer duties including clean-up, move furniture and equipment, and operating county vehicles.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
  • Experience in the safe operation of hand and power tools
  • Experience in the safe operation of hedge trimmers
  • Experience in the safe operation of industrial pressure washers
  • Experience in the safe operation of power lawn mowers
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift certification (highly desired)
  • Pesticide certification/license (highly desired)
Licensing, Certification and Other Requirements:
  • A valid and unencumbered driver's license
  • A pre-employment physical, review of driving record and reference checks will be conducted prior to any final job offer.
