Summary
Are you someone who puts value in exceptional customer service? We're looking for a Cashiering Lead who will be responsible for providing equitable and socially just services to a wide variety of customers handling court-related matters.
This person will lead a group of 12 staff members; train, provide work direction and coordinate schedules and activities for the team. In addition, interact with a wide variety of customers such as court staff, attorneys, and the general public. The Cashier lead works closely with their supervisor to communicate workload status, provide input on development opportunities for staff growth and offer ideas to improve current processes.
The Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) is an innovative, forward-looking agency using technology to help perform tasks better, more efficiently and reliably. DJA (also known as the Superior Court Clerk's Office) performs a variety of services for the Court, litigants, and the public. DJA's mission is to provide professional, high-quality Superior Court record services and justice system programs, while ensuring access to justice and integrity in the process.

WORK LOCATION: This position will be based primarily at the King County Courthouse, 516 3rd Ave., Room E609, Seattle, WA 98104 but may attend training and meetings at our other locations including the Maleng Regional Justice Center and the Clark Children and Family Justice Center.
WORK SCHEDULE: This position is overtime eligible. It works a 40-hour work week; Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day on a schedule to be established by the supervisor.

Job Duties
- Lead a team of 12 staff members to perform to the best of their abilities and meet service level agreements.
- Perform multiple step transactions such as receipting funds, issuing forms and letters, and processing orders from the Court.
- Process mail that requires well-rounded Department knowledge and that may be sensitive in nature.
- Maintain records management standards for team email and paper documentation.
- Review team member's work to ensure accuracy standards are met.
- Coach team members to best practices and how to ensure accuracy metrics.
- Schedule team members for a variety of work tasks in different areas.
- Monitor the status of the workload and assign staff to efficiently complete tasks.
- Train all staff in policy and procedures.
- Maintain information regarding section statistics.
- Report team training, development, pre-disciplinary intervention, and task-based data to the Supervisor.
- Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Collaboration with cross-sectional leaders.
- Exercise judgment and critical thinking in decision making.
- Understand and abide by the rules of confidentiality.
- Generate responses to internal and external customers addressing questions, concerns, and research inquiries.
- Perform other Clerk's functions as directed by leadership or ordered by the Court.
