The EEO Project Coordinator (Project/Program Manager I) will provide project/program coordination and support for the EEO Office and manager. This position will coordinate projects for the EEO Office, including logistics related to investigations and resolution agreements, audits and internal reviews, and logistic support for trainings and events.

This Special Duty Assignment (SDA) /Temporary Limited Term (TLT) is open to King County Employees and External Candidates and is anticipated to last through December 31, 2022.
This recruitment also creates an eligibility pool to fill future career service positions, term-limited temporary vacancies, and/or special duty assignments that may occur in the next year.- Job Duties

In this role, you will apply equity and social justice principles that exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices to all aspects of the work. As the EEO Project Coordinator, you will:
- Coordinate logistical support for the EEO manager, team, and program. This represents a variety of tasks including, but not limited to records collection and analysis for investigations, management of resolution plans, logistics for trainings, documentation preparation for public disclosure, administration of contracts as they relate to the program, and agency-wide communication coordination.
- Assist in maintaining and accurately entering information into the tracking systems for EEO complaints, investigations, and employee-related data.
- Serve as a point of contact for Metro employees and candidates for employment, including answering questions about procedures and rights under the EEO policy and taking reports.
- Assist in producing reports regarding EEO matters and information for Metro managers and for compliance with FTA and County requirements.

- Demonstrated experience in providing project support including tracking, reporting and training elements.

- Ability to address highly confidential, and sensitive issues effectively.
- Experience working independently in fast paced work environment with changing priorities. Ability to conduct public presentations and/or facilitation.
- Have intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
- Skilled in gathering, understanding, and explaining data utilizing various software programs, electronic devices, and other tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to research information and make meaningful connections.
- Experience facilitating a variety of discussions and meetings.
Desired Qualifications Include- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service related to EEO/Equity and Inclusion subject matter that reflects the best values of King County's commitments to equity and social justice.
- Knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices.
- Ability to conduct public presentations and/or facilitation.
- Ability to design, learn and implement new systems and processes.
- Experience facilitating a variety of discussions and meetings.

Teleworking Requirement
The work associated with this position will be performed predominantly in a hybrid work environment working in the office and at home. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required, including the wearing of masks in some situations. King County is doing its part to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and remains committed to reducing our carbon footprint.
