King County Fleet Services Division is looking for a Fiscal Specialist 2 to join our dynamic team! This position will give you the opportunity to showcase your knowledge in a variety of areas including workflow processing, accounting reconciliations, coding and maintaining data. This opportunity is for candidates that can collaborate and provide great service through innovative solutions to support internal and external customers, find answers with moving parts and multiple stakeholders, will take initiative in researching solutions to obstacles, and find ways to move the work forward.
This recruitment may be used to fill vacancies (Career Service, TLT, or STT) from this recruitment process for the next 12 months.
SCOPE OF JOB DUTIES: To be considered for this opportunity, you must at a minimum demonstrate skill and ability to:- Plan, schedule and/or coordinate the fiscal and administrative type work generated from maintenance support work. High volume of data entry.
- Purchase goods and services to support Maintenance Operations Stores group, process accounts payable transactions, process P-Card transactions, manage petty cash, maintain and research purchasing contracts.
- Track and record fiscal activities generated from normal business in Fleet.
- Perform regular audits and reviews of fund and account codes; review system data and reports to ensure accuracy and integrity of data as it relates to the recording of documents.
- Ability to perform basic accounting and bookkeeping calculations related to Fleet Maintenance activities.
- Are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including higher level skill in performing financial transactions using Microsoft Excel in your daily work.
- Are comfortable using enterprise resource programs such as Oracle EBS, JD Edwards or SAP to perform daily accounting transactions.
- Thrive independently and be willing to work collaboratively as part of a team and build relationships.
- Manage and prioritize a high volume of diverse assignments and multiple competing tasks with a strong attention to detail.
- Be comfortable in a change environment and be excited to learn new skills and implement new processes to continuously improve services.
