Summary
The Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking a skilled project manager to help lead the transformation of the recruitment process to be more effective, efficient, and support equity goals and outcomes. The project manager will work closely with the HR Leadership Team, the departments Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Managers, and the talented team of recruiters in Public Health to set best practices for recruiting that are in line with Public Health's mission and vision and commitment to equity and consistent with the Department of Human Resources overarching guidance. This position reports to the HR Manager II for the Recruitment and Leaves team.
Length of Assignment: This non-represented term-limited temporary or special duty position is anticipated to last approximately one year.

Job Duties
- Collaborate with department and specific division leadership to develop scope, timeline, and project deliverables.
- Draw from and maximize the experience and knowledge of the HR team, EIB managers, hiring managers, and others to evaluat3e the current state of recruiting practices, identify best practices, develop recommendations and implement the future state to include training, evaluations measurements, and tools.
- Deliver and implement project deliverables in line with scope and timeline.
- Utilize lean management principles to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as required.
Well-qualified candidates, at a minimum, will possess:
- Expertise and experience in leading large projects, with a variety of inputs and stakeholder groups.
- Knowledge of project management principles
- Experience in navigating bureaucracy effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to find common ground among seemingly divergent interest groups.
- Experience with developing and implementing change management strategies to support project implementation.
- Skill and commitment to advancing equity, racial, and social justice in human resource practices.
- Knowledge and experience using process improvement tools, monitoring performance measures, and adjusting operations to meet service expectations and performance goals.
- Knowledge and experience developing evaluation metrics and reporting formats.
- HR project management experience, specifically recruitment process improvement experience
- Familiarity with NEOGOV and Peoplesoft
- Lean Six Sigma certification
