THE POSITION
As a Human Resource Analyst, you will have the opportunity to partner with our divisions, contributing to our mission of eliminating health inequities and maximizing opportunities for every person to achieve optimal health. This position gives the successful applicants a unique opportunity to get involved in the many duties of a HR professional in a rewarding environment that will provide a solid foundation for future HR professional growth.
A strong commitment to continuous improvement, equity and social justice, respect for people, trauma informed care and leadership are a must in this role! Successful candidates for the position will be able to demonstrate skill and ability, at a minimum to:- Partner with hiring supervisors to creatively recruit top-notch candidates.
- Process and manage protected leave requests, including Family and Medical Leave, collaborating with stakeholders and Disability Services.
- Advise, coach, and train managers and supervisors in employee engagement and HR business processes.
- Support and contribute to continuous process improvement of HR practices and processes, using Lean principles.
- Coordinate efforts with a wide range of partners to help facilitate and implement best HR practices across the department while balancing compliance with local, state, and federal laws, and collective bargaining agreements.

We are looking for candidates who:
- Are comfortable working in a high volume, multi-focused, fast paced environment.
- Are strongly committed to maintaining customer-focused practices, holding the vision of the Department and using data to implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Implement best practices consistent with the County's Equity and Social Justice strategic plan.
- Have proven success in applicant sourcing and the use of multiple platforms to fill critical roles.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal laws.
- Knowledgeable about employee engagement.
A strong background in full lifecycle recruiting and complex case leaves administration is highly desired. Applicants must be committed to working with diverse populations throughout King County to provide excellent customer service to a broad range of cultures, in accordance with King County Equity and Social Justice Ordinance and the King County Strategic Plan.
WORK LOCATION
Chinook Building, in Downtown Seattle. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Public Health Human Resources offices are based in downtown Seattle in the Chinook building. During the Stay at Home order, work will be completed remotely. As we resume operations in the future, work is based out of Chinook with remote work opportunities.
