Isolation/Quarantine Site Manager (Program Supervisor I)

In order to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community, the King County Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) is operating locations around King County for isolation and quarantine (I/Q). Isolation and quarantine is a proven public health practice for reducing the spread of disease and is voluntary for individuals choosing to stay at the sites.
DCHS is seeking reliable individuals to fill several I/Q Site Manager positions to support King County's COVID-19 response activities. These Term Limited Temporary (TLT) positions will ensure that rooms are prepped and unlocked to receive clients, that deliveries (food, other necessities) are happening, as well as track room availability. DCHS staff will be in charge of all the other residential needs. Each site will have an offsite site director (DCHS), security guard (Facilities Management Division), and a site manager. Candidates will be reviewed and referred to the hiring manager on a semi-weekly basis.

- Ensure that rooms are prepped and unlocked to receive clients, that deliveries (food, other necessities) are happening, as well as track room availability.
- Plan, organize, schedule and coordinate work activities.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to staff
- Monitor budget expenditures and authorize purchases.
- Recommend changes to procedures and guidelines affecting the facility.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships while working as a part of a multidisciplinary team to include medical staff and other site employees.
- Skill in working under stressful conditions, remaining calm and exercising sound judgment.
- Ability and experience making decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Skill in dealing effectively with the public in emotional situations, detecting potential problems and preventing escalation.
- Skill in effective communications both oral and written.
- Skill in working with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to pass a post offer/pre hire Washington State Patrol Background check.
