King County Department of Information Technology (KCIT) is seeking an IT Governance Coordinator to join our team. This position reports to the Countywide Information Technology (IT) Governance Manager within the King County IT Office of the Chief Information Officer. The successful candidate will be a detail oriented Team player that can juggle multiple and diverse duties ranging from administrative to technical in nature. This is a position that requires the ability to engage and work effectively with different levels and functions in KCIT and across the County.

Teleworking Requirement
The work associated with this position will be performed through a combination of teleworking complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required, including the wearing of masks in some situations . King County is doing its part to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and remains committed to reducing our carbon footprint.

Job Duties
- Work with KCIT Information Technology Governance team to support duties of the Office of the CIO related to countywide Business Management Council and Technology Management Board, Project Review Board, and Strategic Advisory Council, and Countywide IT policies. The duties include meeting scheduling, presentation and meeting materials compilation and coordination, meeting notes taking, meeting attendance taking. This requires outreach to and coordination with countywide meeting participants for meeting preparation and attendance.
- Provide the main technical expertise for developing and supporting business intelligence reporting platforms, including MS Power BI, and survey tools.
- Implement, support, troubleshoot and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) reporting systems, create, maintain, and update IT Governance SharePoint Sites and internal and external IT Governance web pages. Includes all technical and customer service aspects of Project and Applications Portfolio BI (Business Intelligence) Reporting, including development, management and administration of day-to- day technical aspects of multiple reporting systems: Planview PPM Pro, Power BI, SharePoint, O365, Content Manager and other as needed.
- Coordinate and conduct informational user meetings on a quarterly basis to align with stakeholders on any reporting system and/or application changes and/or upgrades.
- Support Project Reviews and Reporting to generate IT Projects Portfolio Reports; Monitor vendor contractual obligations during project external quality assurance assessments.
- Liaison with external vendors and County's IT project managers for vendor invoicing, deliverables tracking, and overall support for countywide IT project oversight processes and tools.
- Serve as a backup for technical support of the County's portfolio management system.
- Serve as the Agency Record's Officer and Agency Public Record Request Officer to establish and maintain best records management practices within the agency and ensure the staff is managing records appropriately.

- Ability to engage stakeholders and work collaboratively, maneuvering through complex situations effectively
- Demonstrated experience working with variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds and cross-functional teams focused on excellence in customer service
- Knowledge of computer technology principles and techniques
- Knowledge of applications, tools, systems and/or databases technologies, IT Policies
- Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Expertise in executive level meetings preparation, including agendas, meeting materials, meeting notes
- Expertise in gathering, manipulating and using data to create reports and dashboards. Data reporting and troubleshooting experience (Microsoft Power BI, MS Forms, etc.)
- Ability to understand and analyze data to provide executive level reporting for decision making
- Ability to analyze stakeholder requirements for use of data for reporting and dashboards
- Expertise in MS Office Tools to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, etc.
- Experience in MS Teams and Zoom meeting organizing, Web publishing, Survey Tools
- Skill in handling multiple competing priorities
- Technical documentation skills
- Written and oral communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Familiarity and experience with IT Portfolio Management systems
- Familiarity and experience with government records and systems, records management, office procedures and practices, filing systems and records retention schedule development
- SCRUM Master Certification
- SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager certification
- IT project administration and/or management practices.
