KCIT is seeking to hire an IT Systems Specialist Entry to join our team. This position will be performing level 1 technology support with KCIT Support Teams. The successful candidate will be expected to work and manage assigned tickets in KCIT's IT Service Management Tool (Cherwell). The primary function is supporting walk-up window, queue triage, onboarding, offboarding, transfer, move, hardware, software, printer queues and IT equipment peripherals to Executive branch customers.

Work Environment
This position is performed 100% onsite. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

Job Duties
- Provide level 1 technical support
- Support walk-up window
- Support queue triage within support teams
- Execute the delivery and recovery of hardware
- Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems
- Collaborate with other IT service teams
- Utilize and create technical documentation
- Actively manage assigned tickets with accurate and timely information
- Will be required to drive to different county locations
- Assist with the phone support
- Assist with the move support
- Other duties as assigned
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
- Basic knowledge of Windows 11, COTS products, ITSM and Microsoft Products.
- Demonstrated experience in receiving and provisioning of new equipment, repurposing equipment and retiring equipment.
- Basic knowledge of computer technology principles.
- Basic knowledge of data and system security and other similar technical processes.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain exceptional customer relationships.
- Demonstrated positive attitude towards peers and leadership, learns from mistakes, seeks feedback and is easily coachable.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain technical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Successful completion of criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations
- May be responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of equipment and boxes of varying sizes and weights by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, placing, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, or crawling in a safe and efficient manner
- Valid WA State driver's license
- Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) process
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Scaled Agile Framework
- CompTia A+ Certification
- Microsoft Technology Associate Certifications
- Experience using or managing Microsoft Office applications, Office365, SharePoint
