The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Legal Administrative Specialist II. Legal Administrative Specialists handle a variety of legal office support tasks performed under general supervision, requiring an ability to exercise sound independent judgment.

Work Location: This position may be in Seattle or Kent, Washington. The office of the elected prosecutor is located at the King County Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue, Seattle.
Work Schedule: This position works a 35-hour work week schedule, normally Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position is eligible for King County’s generous benefits package and is covered by the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Salary: Range 38
(Step One) $23.6332- (Step Ten) $29.9566* Hourly
$1,654.10 - $2,096.50 Biweekly
$43,006.60 - $54,509.00 Annually
A general wage increase of 4.5% is anticipated later in the year following ratification of the tentative agreement between King County and the Coalition of Unions.

*Employees with less than 2 years of service will receive .25 per hour less than the hourly salary table due to a mandatory contribution toward the Teamsters Pension Trust that was voted by members of the collective bargaining agreement between our office and Teamsters Local No. 117. - Job Duties
• Complete administrative-support tasks: Data entry, email, document and records management, mail sorting, filing, phone support and more.
• Draft, edit and compose documents, including emails and letters.
• Provide exceptional customer service to victims, witnesses and the general public; regularly handling difficult and delicate situations with tact, discretion and diplomacy.- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
• Have a background providing excellent customer service and juggling multiple tasks on a daily basis.
• Are "out-of-the-box thinkers" who are looking for new ways to solve problems.
• Have great communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and working as a team.
• Are very reliable and possess great time management skills.
• Are detail oriented.
• Bring a great attitude in your approach to work.
• Knowledge of general office principles and procedures, particularly in the criminal justice system.
• Are comfortable with the use of Office Productivity tools in the daily work (the county uses Microsoft Office) including Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro. Training will be provided for internal databases, including PbK, JABS, JBRS, SAWS, etc.
