How to be Successful in the Role:
By learning the core business needs of the business unit and its customers you will help enhance and define this role for the future. This position will have a role in developing the Marymoor Feasibility Study and the Redevelopment of a Comprehensive Marymoor Business Unit Bi-Annual Budget.

Position Summary
In this role you will supervise, lead, and continually develop the talent of our fantastic Marymoor Business Unit Team. The essential support work of this team can truly help facilitate greater services for our park systems which will improve the livelihood and quality of life for our communities- Job Duties
Core Work Duties
- Oversee business operations and scheduling functions for King County’s Marymoor Park.
- Represent the interests of Marymoor Park and the County as primary representative to community, County agencies, other jurisdictions and user groups for issues related to Marymoor Park and associated activities.
- Lead, supervise and support a dedicated staff with a shared vision and sense of purpose, creating ongoing opportunities for learning, growth, innovation, and creativity.
- Monitor unit budget, prepare reports and make recommendations for budget preparation.
- Make recommendations for small and large capital projects and participate with project team during implementation.
- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Required Qualifications
- Experience assessing and understanding recreational needs of a community/partner group and facility capacity and developing programs that meet those needs.
- Experience in budget management with cost recovery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support a team towards accomplishing established goals and in addressing performance issues.
- Exceptional skills in both external and internal facing communication.
- Demonstrated experience in large scale special events coordination.
- A degree in facilities management, recreation management, business or public administration, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience in ActiveNet Software or other registration software.
- Experience working in the public sector facility management.
- Customer Focus: Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer centric solutions.
- Financial Acumen: Interprets and applies understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions.
