The Nursing Supervisor or Personal Health Services Supervisor (PHSS) position is responsible for the oversight and support of multi-disciplinary teams that may include Registered Nurses, Registered Dieticians, Community Health Workers, Nutrition Assistants, Social Workers, and Administrative Support staff. This position may also supervise other disciplines such as Interpreters and may expand their supervision to other sites. This is an opportunity to coordinate an amazing team whose passion is to serve individuals and families seeking nutrition, health education and care coordination services. The PHSS will have the overall responsibility for the daily supervision of the team and be a key member of the site management team collaborating to share site support responsibilities, working with Program staff, other supervisors and community partners.

- Direct daily clinical supervision and oversight of staff
- Assuring adequate staffing and coverage in collaboration with other on-site supervisors, other Public Health Center supervisors and the float pool supervisor.
- Coordination of clinical and field services with other Parent Child Health teams supporting pregnant individuals and families with young children.
- Guide collaborative program planning, implementation, coordination, compliance and evaluation of services.
- Participation in planning, implementing, and monitoring program budgets.
- Organization and facilitation of team meetings and support and promote engagement in workplace culture, equity, social justice, safety, and division initiatives.
- Collaboration with community providers to support or expand services.
- Participation in departmental Lean and Quality Improvement efforts.
- Monitor, collect, and report program data in relation to staff productivity, care coordination, caseload expectations, services to targeted populations of need, and program services initiatives.
- Oversee and ensure timely and accurate visit/service documentation and data input into electronic health information systems or data systems
- Establish and maintain cooperative, effective working relationships with coworkers, Public Health program staff and other Division and other Department employees.
- Act as resource person on office procedures, practices, schedules, accounts receivable and payable activities.
- Participate in the implementation of new or revised administrative support procedures.
- Assisting patients when complaints or issues arise.
- Position may include overall center management during Area Manager absences and oversight of teams across more than one Public Health Center.

- Demonstrate experience in staff development, personnel support and supervision, and management techniques.
- Demonstrate coaching and mentorship skills and effective communication including strong conflict resolution skills.
- Professional skills and experience in program implementation and development of processes and procedures using LEAN or quality improvement/quality assurance practice.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health, handling of hazards, and safety guidelines.
- Demonstrate knowledge of adolescent, family planning, and maternity support services.
- Demonstrate skills in establishing and maintaining effective workplace relationships.
- Demonstrate clear and inclusive communication in verbal, written, and non-verbal communication.
- Strong knowledge and experience in electronic medical records such as EPIC.
- Experience in workflows, including client scheduling, client check-in and check-out, and service provision processes.
- Adaptive to changes and assist in strategic planning of clinic services.
- Ability to work on several projects/tasks simultaneously
- Skill in working effectively with diverse individuals and populations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Nursing from an accredited school
- Washington State Registered Nurse License in good standing.
- Proof of current BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers (Attach if current)
- Washington State Driver’s License of ability to travel within designated territory.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in the management of a variety of health care providers and administrative staff in the clinic and community health setting.

Work Location & Schedule: This is a fully benefited 1.0 FTE, Career Service positions. This is a supervisor role and required to be onsite every day. Hours worked will include Auburn Public Health Centers expanded business hours Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Future service planning may change these days/hours. This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime.
