We’re seeking a Product Manager to design and drive King County’s vision, strategy and roadmap for Office 365 and related Microsoft applications. Responsible for optimizing implementation, use and adoption of Office 365 solutions, this role will assess current and future customer needs or challenges and identify ways to further leverage digital opportunities to add business value via O365 applications and features. The Product Manager will work with a technical team to identify architectural and operational needs and to plan and execute coordinated, ongoing releases that will contribute to positive improvements in business practice, effective collaboration and efficient process.

Work ScheduleThe normal workweek for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position may require you to work additional hours to respond to workload needs.
TEMPORARY TELECOMMUTING REQUIREMENT
The work associated with this position will be performed remotely, at least through July 5, 2021 in compliance with King County’s telecommuting mandate. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. There will be situations where the employee is required to report to a County worksite. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required by the department in alignment with the Public Health Directive from the Seattle & King County Public Health Officer.

- Job Duties
- Define King County’s product vision and roadmap for Microsoft Office 365 and related solutions and align associated sub-projects, contracts and relationships
- Oversee the development, configuration, implementation and maintenance of Office 365 deployments (e.g. new apps and features, upgrades/updates, etc.) with technology partners
- Implement needed architectural, operational or security changes/improvements for within the Office 365 space.
- Partner with the Customer Success Managers to ensure that the product outcomes reflect the goals and needs of the client
- Enable optimized use of O365 applications/features through customer problem analysis, change management, training and education (e.g. create compelling messaging, positioning, collateral, and supporting product demos)
- Provide internal consulting to senior management and elected officials related to business needs, solution options, technology alternatives, operational impacts, costs/benefits, and strategic planning for achieving stated product objectives
- Develop new product standards, procedures, and action plans for continuous improvement
- Review and consolidate all project plans within the O365 space; consolidate and assess risks and impacts, costs, sequencing, and change management
- Provide overall ongoing direction for the technology development components, including; product estimation, budget management, scope and delivery strategy definition, establishing milestones/schedules
- Oversee the work of Project Managers within product domain and provide feedback on performance reviews for Project and/or Product Managers.
- Respond to a high level of reporting oversight as needed for compliance, security, and other regulatory requirements
- May manage 3 or more scrum teams in an Agile Release Train
- Coach and mentor product team members
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
- 7+ years' experience in product or program management or technology working on consumer or enterprise solutions
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Experience with end-to-end product delivery and Scrum/Agile methodologies (e.g. SAFe)
- Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
- A proven history of shipping products and measuring their success
- A knack for clearly articulating problems and focusing a team on measurable outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to innovate within or out of constraints
- Experience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a product
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-complexity initiatives/projects/releases
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements and Operations professionals on implementations and maintenance/support
- Experience building processes and release schedules and employing effective risk management to large products/programs
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build customer relationships, influence stakeholders successfully without formal authority, and lead cross-functional teams across business units
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
- Demonstrated analytical abilities to successfully resolve conflicts, prioritize deliverables and build consensus across organizational boundaries
Desirable Qualifications- Scrum/Agile Certification; Office 365 certifications
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, experience evaluating trade-offs and new opportunities with technical team members
