Program Technician II Courtroom Technology Support - Term-Limited Temporary

The responsibilities of this classification include coordinating and assisting with the use of video appearances and hearings for a variety of court departments. The incumbent will interact with all levels of the court and be on-site at various court locations to ensure the effective implementation of video platforms.
Who may apply: This position is open to all qualified applicants.
Work location: The incumbent will work primarily in the King County Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue in downtown Seattle, but will also be required to work at other court facilities as needed.
Work schedule and terms: This at-will Term-Limited Temporary position is hourly (overtime-eligible) and subject to the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position works a 35-hour work week schedule. The work week is normally Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position is eligible for benefits.

- Job Duties
The following duties are not intended to represent the entire functional capacity of the position at the task level:
- Provide technical assistance in the use of Zoom for video appearances of interpreters, jurors and case participants in court hearings.
- Provide training to and assist court staff with set-up, testing, troubleshooting and training for the use of video platforms in a courtroom setting.
- Respond to inquiries from judges, bailiffs, commissioners, attorneys and the general public regarding related information, rules, policies and procedures.
- Train employees in video platform processes and software applications as related to video hearings.
- Perform other administrative duties as needed for the Office of Interpreter Services and Jury Services.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level.
- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) and 2 years' experience in the use of video platforms, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Working knowledge of computer software applications, specifically video conferencing platforms. Effective customer service techniques and knowledge of basic safety, security and emergency procedures. Must be able to interact effectively with a wide range of people in a professional manner. Able to recognize and maintain confidential information on matters before the court. Able to organize and prioritize work, and adapt to changes in work load demands.- Supplemental Information
Special requirements: Finalists must successfully pass a criminal background check and reference check. Must possess a valid Washington State driver's license or be able to travel throughout the County by alternate means.
