Summary



This recruitment is to fill a Term-Limited Temporary position that is anticipated to end December 31, 2027. If filled by a King County employee who has passed their initial probation, it will be as a Special Duty Assignment.

The Finance and Business Operations Division human resources team is looking for an energetic full cycle recruiter who can manage a significant amount of high-volume recruitment processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with all sections hiring managers in developing recruitment strategies to fill multiple and diverse positions. We recruit staff for our centralized agency: accounting and finance, procurement and contract specialists, functional analysts, treasury, property tax, banking, investments, contract compliance, and our Priority Hire and Pro-Equity Hiring programs. SCOPE OF JOB DUTIES - In order to be considered minimally qualified for this role, you must demonstrate knowledge, skill and ability to:
  • Manage and perform full-cycle recruitment processes in collaboration with hiring managers. Manage the candidate relationship through the complete recruiting lifecycle.
  • Engage with and source applicants through social media and other passive recruitment strategies.
  • Promote King County as an Employer of Choice. Generate diverse applicant pools in support of Equity and Social Justice Goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding timely to inquiries and delivering informational assistance to applicants, employees, and other customers. Coordinate with others to obtain information and/or to share information.
  • Develop metrics such as quality and cycle times; prepare statistical reports utilizing graphs, charts, etc., maintain tracking systems.
  • Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives including applying best practices and transformations in recruiting/talent acquisition methodology.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO:
  • Have experience managing and performing full-cycle recruitments including in-depth screening analysis of applicant materials.
  • Can develop effective job postings and implement screening and examination techniques to broaden our applicant pools; prepare candidates for interviews - reviewing culture, organization structure, job description, competencies, and expectations.
  • Have effective communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills and is comfortable challenging leaders to adhere to recruiting best practices.
  • Thrive working as part of a team and has a genuine collaborative and consultative style in their approach to their work.
  • Are accountable for completing work assignments and maintaining recruitment schedules.
  • Have the ability to build effective relationships with hiring managers, team members, and candidates.
  • Are comfortable working with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds, including sensitivity to and knowledge of various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic groups.
  • Can prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Are proficient using an office productivity suite, application tracking system (ATS), MS Teams and SharePoint, and other internet-based tools in their daily work (The county uses Microsoft Office Teams, SharePoint and NeoGov).
  • Perform research, analyze, and solve problems.
  • Think differently, are eager to try new things and challenge themselves to improve processes.
  • Manage their time and adapt to changing priorities, work on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, meet quick deadlines, and produce timely and quality work products.

  • Experience using NeoGov and PeopleSoft
  • Experience working in government

Position Information:
  • Work Site Details: The work associated with this position will primarily be remote with days in the office as business needs. Approximately a minimum of 2 days per month expected in the office at this time.
  • Location Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
  • Work Schedule: This position is Non-Exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and therefore is overtime eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule, every other Thursday, comprising a 40-hour workweek; normally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Union Representation: This position is not represented.
