Summary
King County Parks is hiring for a Regional Scheduling Supervisor to join the Property Management & Business Revenue Section. The Property Management & Business Revenue Section is a crucial part of Parks and is responsible for all revenue generated, which includes over $1.5 million in athletic field and open space scheduling.
This position will have the exciting opportunity to build and lead the Regional Scheduling team to support the scheduling of new facilities under King County. This role will also interact with a large variety of user and community groups and will play an instrumental part in developing and implementing a new Fee Assistance Program that aims to provide King County facility access to underrepresented and underserved groups.

Working Conditions:
The work associated with this position will be performed predominantly by telecommuting, with occasional onsite work and meetings, as influenced by business needs. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required, including the wearing of masks in some situations . King County is doing its part to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and remains committed to reducing our carbon footprint.

Job Duties
- Manage, supervise, and/or conduct written and oral communications with internal/external customers regarding policies, services, and program-related matters, including public-outreach programs, presentations, orientations, and reports. "Customers" may be defined at varying levels from members of the general public to elected officials and representatives from other jurisdictions.
- Manage, supervise, conduct and/or participate in the investigation of, response to, and resolution to internal and/or external customer conflicts, complaints and inquiries - the scope of which may include services, policy issues, revenue reporting and auditing.
- Prepare or supervise others in preparing written responses for signature of superiors.
- Manage and/or supervise the development and implementation of business practices to monitor customer base and enhance outreach efforts.
- Lead, supervise, and support a dedicated staff with a shared vision and sense of purpose, creating ongoing opportunities for learning, growth, innovation, and creativity.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated, progressive experience scheduling programs, activities, or athletic facilities.
- Demonstrated, progressive experience working with a scheduling software system.
- 5 years of experience supervising staff.
- Manages Complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
- Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
- Instills Trust - Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
- Drives Results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.
- Customer Focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- ActiveNet software experience.
- Experience working in a public service setting.
Working Conditions:
- Work Location: This position is primarily teleworking and the King Street Center, 201 S. Jackson St., Seattle, WA 98104.
- Work Hours: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week.
- FLSA Status: This position is exempt from the overtime provision of the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) and is not overtime eligible.
- Union Representation: This position is not represented by a union.
