SDA Operations Project/Program Manager I
- Summary
The Parks Operations Section has a Special Duty opportunity for a Project/Program Manager I to support the development and implementation of asset and work management best practices to improve data quality and work planning efforts throughout the Operations Section.
Who is Eligible: King County Parks Division Career Service staff only.
Work Location: The work of this position will involve both field and office work. This position will report to Clise Mansion at Marymoor Park.
Work Schedule: This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible. This full-time position works a 40-hour work week.- Job Duties
Primary responsibilities include:
Monitor the work order system and serve as point of contact for Operations staff to report asset installations, removals, replacements, and movement (for movable assets).
Develop workflows, processes, and forms to assist asset reporting and information sharing.
Collect assets in the field as needed.
Conduct periodic audits and validation of existing asset inventory.
Manage a Standard Operating Procedures manual for the Section.
Draft correspondence.
Respond to inquiries about procedures and/or processes.
- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Qualifications:
Strong understanding and knowledge of Parks infrastructure and maintenance best practices.
Ability to identify opportunities to improve information-sharing and standardization across the Section.
Knowledge of research methods and high degree of organization.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Skilled in gathering, manipulating, and using data utilizing electronic tools.
Desired Experience:
Experience with asset/work management software.
Basic knowledge of ESRI Field Maps and other GIS tools.
Knowledge of SharePoint front-end web development.
Technical and creative writing skills.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
