Staff Physician (Float Pool - Short Term Temporary: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Addiction Medicine): We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic, and mission-driven Float Pool Staff Physician in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to work as needed in our Primary Care clinics in Seattle, Burien, and Bellevue; in our Mobile Medical Program in Seattle and South King County; and in our low-barrier buprenorphine Pathways Program in Seattle. Work with a committed group of multidisciplinary staff providing excellent primary care for multi-ethnic immigrant, vulnerable, and low-income populations.

Job Duties
- Diagnose and provide medical treatment to clients.
- Educate and counsel clients on a broad scope of personal and health care issues.
- Provide technical consultation to nursing staff for assigned work location.
- Provide medical triage and patient care evaluation.
- Document clinical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, treatment, outcomes, referrals and consultations.
- Perform minor procedures and other duties as assigned within the position's scope.
- Washington State Medical License must be obtained prior to hiring.
- A National Provider Identification (NPI) must be obtained prior to hiring.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration must be obtained prior to hiring.
- Graduation from an accredited medical school and residency program.
- Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Addiction Medicine. If not certified, incumbents must become certified within 2 years of hire.
- Demonstrated experience working in teams and a desire to work in a multidisciplinary team which includes physicians, nurses, social workers, residents and other providers.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and social justice.
- Experience in managing chronic diseases and working with vulnerable patients with history of homelessness, behavioral health conditions, incarceration and substance use.
- Knowledge of outpatient care, including medical diagnosis and treatment.
- Knowledge of community resources and health service delivery systems.
- Knowledge of medical records documentation.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and improvement techniques.
- Skill in oral and written communications.
- Skill in problem solving and triage decisions.
- Skill in interpretation of diagnostic laboratory and common procedural test results.
- Skill in organization and knowledge of accepted time management techniques in a health care setting.
- Public Health relies on office automation (Microsoft Office) and web-based enabled tools, therefore candidates must be proficient and comfortable with computer use to perform functions associated with on-going work.
- Proof of Current BLS CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers (Please attach if current.)
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
- Experience providing medication treatment for opioid use disorder in low barrier outpatient setting.
