Staff Physicians (Float Pool - Short Term Temporary: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Addiction Medicine): We are looking for skilled, enthusiastic, flexible, and dedicated Float Pool Staff Physicians to provide coverage for outpatient medical care in several of our clinical programs. Float pool physicians can provide care in our Primary Care clinics in Seattle, Burien, and Bellevue; in our Mobile Medical Program in Seattle and South King County; and in our low-barrier buprenorphine clinic in Seattle. Work with a committed and diverse multidisciplinary team to provide primary and/or addiction medicine care for multi-ethnic immigrant, vulnerable, and low-income populations.

- Job Duties
Diagnose and provide medical treatment to patients.
Educate and counsel patients on a broad scope of health care issues.
Provide technical consultation to nursing staff and other clinical team members for assigned work location.
Provide medical triage and patient care evaluation.
Document clinical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, treatment, outcomes, referrals and consultations.
Perform minor procedures and other duties as assigned within the position's scope.

Requirements:Washington State Medical License must be obtained prior to hiring.
A National Provider Identification (NPI) must be obtained prior to hiring.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration must be obtained prior to hiring.
A physician waiver to prescribe buprenorphine under the Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000 (DATA 2000) preferred, must be willing to obtain upon hiring.
Graduation from an accredited medical school and residency program.
Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Addiction Medicine.
Proof of Current BLS CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Desired:Experience providing trauma-informed health care to vulnerable patients with histories of homelessness, behavioral health conditions, incarceration, and substance use.
Demonstrated experience and interest working in multidisciplinary teams which may include physicians, nurses, social workers, residents, and other providers.
Demonstrated commitment to equity and social justice.
Knowledge of outpatient primary care and addiction medicine care.
Knowledge of community resources and health service delivery systems.
Skill in oral and written communications.
Skill in problem solving and triage decisions.
Skill in organization and knowledge of accepted time management techniques in a health care setting.
Bilingual in Spanish/English
Experience providing medication treatment for opioid use disorder in low barrier outpatient setting.

Work Schedule: This short-term temporary position will work up to 28 hours per week and up to 900 hours per year. This position is exempt from the career service and the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position is not eligible for benefits and represents at will employees.
Work Location: We offer primary care at our Eastgate Public Health Center in Bellevue, Washington; our Downtown Public Health Center in Seattle; in the Navos Mental Health and Wellness Center in Burien; and in two Mobile Medical Vans serving South King County and Seattle. The Pathways Program is located at the Downtown Public Health Center in Seattle.
