The Procurement & Payables section of King County's Finance and Business Operation Division is seeking a Special Duty Assignment - Supplier Program Manager (Project/Program Manager 3)! The person selected for this position should already be skilled in using the E-Procurement system. Training will be provided to build skills to high proficiency in supplier program tasks. You should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is a must when performing E-Procurement support and customer services duties. In this job, you will build upon your skills to meet the needs of both internal and external customers for the Procurement & Payable Section. You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively on a team with multiple people. You are eager to learn and develop your skills to high proficiency, while embracing a lean culture on streamlining processes. You stay focused on milestones and targets, while managing competing priorities.

This position is Exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore not overtime eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule, every other Thursday, comprising a 40-hour workweek; normally 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is represented by Teamsters 117.
The work associated with this position will primarily be remote.

Scope of Job Duties: To be considered for this opportunity, you must at a minimum, demonstrate knowledge, skill and ability to:
- Effectively communicate details related to our supplier program; administer supplier tasks unique to our E-Procurement system; utilize specialized tools and platforms needed to input data and keep track of various tasks assigned to your position.
- Apply exceptional customer service skills; administer support and guidance within the supplier program; work closely and collaboratively with team members.
- Understand and apply Washington State rules and regulations; follow procedures and processes when supporting both internal and external customers.
- Utilize various systems and tools to accurately lead the supplier program and communicate with team members; leverage the use of MS Teams and other tools to optimize communication; prepare and utilize spreadsheets and Air Table to track information; dependably utilize shared platforms such as OneNote and MS Outlook.
- Provide backup support as needed within the Travel Program using the Concur system.
- Research, resolve and respond to customer and supplier issues including registration, supplier E-Procurement questions, tools, and resources; work with internal and external customers in within our E-Procurement supplier portal.
- Utilize Lean tools and principles, apply process improvement techniques and embrace a lean culture focused on better run government; learn systems and processes and make recommendations to improve productivity and performance; cross train with others as needed; participate in the development of policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience using and understanding the E-Procurement system.
- A demonstrated knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to the supplier community.
- A demonstrated team-oriented work ethic which contributes to positive team morale and completion of tasks.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Intermediate-level skill using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, writing and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage your time and adapt to changing priorities, work on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, meet quick deadlines, and produce timely and quality work products.
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Beginner skill using Concur and Air Table programs.
- Experience using Zoom platform to conduct trainings and meetings.
- Experience with LEAN processes and principles
- Experience with SharePoint, MS Teams, and other collaborative online tools
