Major Projects/Tasks:
This position will work with all projects that involve SCADA. This position will review drawings for accuracy and make recommendations where needed. This position will maintain all the SCADA servers and Virtual Servers (VM), switches, NATs, operating system updates, and software updates and will be the main focal point for all communications with King County IT (KCIT) department for the Division. This position will also coordinate the IT needs of the division with KCIT and will work on bringing the SCADA network and other aging hardware up to date.
The Technology unit works with modern PLCs and automation components. This position will have an opportunity to work with multiple hardware and software automation solutions. The Division has standardized on Allen Bradley / Rockwell hardware and software for automation, although there are Siemens elements as well.
What You Will De Doing:
Work Location: This is a hybrid position with most of the work performed on the field. The successful candidate will have a field office at Cedar Hills Regional Landfill which houses the Division's SCADA servers. This position will be required to visit each of SWD's sites on a recurring and as-needed basis and will have the use of a Division provided vehicle for transportation needs. The successful candidate will have the option of working from a home-based office for administrative functions and most meetings.
Work Schedule: This position generally works a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. This full-time career service position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is not eligible for overtime.

- Maintain Division's SCADA Network
- Be on-call for emergency network outages.
- Excellent skills to program, manage and configure network-managed switches
- Excellent skills to maintain Microsoft Server Operating systems
- Experience and skills in communicating complex technical issues to others in the organization.
- Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Certification
- Additional Microsoft Server-related Certifications
- Experience maintaining the Windows operating system and researching, testing, and installing software updates.
- 3 + years of experience managing CISCO Switches
- 3 + years of experience managing MS Servers
