Teleworking Requirement
The work associated with this position will be performed through a combination of teleworking complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required, including the wearing of masks in some situations. King County is doing its part to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and remains committed to reducing our carbon footprint.
King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will be joining an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment.
Duration
This position is estimated for a duration of 1 year.
Work Schedule
The normal workweek for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative work schedules may be considered. This position is non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime pay.

- Perform full-cycle recruitment processes for a variety of job classification within KCIT. Partner with hiring managers and internal teams to identify position requirements and understand hiring needs. Create systems to build a pipeline of competitive talent.
- Engage with and source applicants. Leverage and optimize all available tools including internal and external networks, social media, job boards, direct sourcing, community contacts, and personal networking events. Manage the candidate relationship through the complete recruiting lifecycle.
- Promote King County as an Employer of Choice. Generate diverse applicant pools in support of Equity and Social Justice Goals.
- Recruitment coordinating
- Manage the KCIT HR Staffing Requisition Dynamics page
- Create/Repurpose/Manage positions and hires in PeopleSoft
- Create/manage requisitions in our applicant tracking system (Neogov)
- Create/Modify/Move recruitment records in accordance with the retention guidelines
- Scheduling
- Manage the onboarding process for new KCIT hires
- Perform a variety of other duties as assigned from metrics/reports, PeopleSoft entries, employee relations issues, back benefits calculations, audits, union correspondence
- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
- Prior experience managing/supporting full-cycle recruitment processes OR any combination of education and experience necessary to perform the scope of job duties
- Have a genuine collaborative and consultative style in their approach to their work
- Build and understand the importance of effective relationships with customers, team members, and other staff
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Be comfortable providing advice and creative consultation to hiring managers
- Can prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Have effective communication skills using tact and diplomacy in all situations
- Are excited and dedicated to working with a dynamic team and will pitch in where needed
- Are skilled and comfortable using and Microsoft 365 including SharePoint, and the ability to use an applicant tracking system and PeopleSoft
- Demonstrated experience using technology to more effectively complete work assignments and enhance workflow
