DCHS is working with partners, such as Public Health Seattle & King County, on a number of response strategies, including the implementation of high-volume vaccination sites ensuring equitable access to care in our community. The department is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill 5 Site Manager positions to work at either of our high volume vaccinations sites in South King County. Each position is slated to last twelve months, with the possibility of ending early or extending, dependent upon operational need. Candidate materials will be reviewed on a daily basis, and the position may be filled prior to the closing date.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and not eligible for overtime. Operating hours are currently Monday - Saturday, with the sites operating ten hours each day. Successful candidates must be willing to work any shift. After hours, weekend work, and overtime may be required.

Candidates selected for Site Manager (Special Project Manager II) will be responsible for overall site operations of a High Volume vaccination site during a designated shift. The Site Manager will supervise all operational staff assigned to the site and have responsibility over their functional areas. The Site Manager will directly supervise and provide direction to the scheduled leads. This position will be required to work across county departments and with external partners in order to ensure success of our High Volume Vaccination Sites.
Additionally, Site Managers:
• Ensure the site operations align with High Volume Vaccination Director, Department and County strategies. Set priorities of work for the day and assign staff leads to said priorities to ensure completion.
• Manage and control day of project activities, issues, risks, and quality and budget (staffing contract).
• Develop and maintain risk mitigation plan as it pertains to staff training to ensure that HIPAA and other related standards are being maintained. Ensure site is maintaining compliance with state, federal, local and King County laws and regulations.
• Supervise and lead a team directly or through a matrix of staff structure.
• Serve as the liaison/contract monitor with designated vendor(s).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
• Experience leading large teams in a constantly changing environment.
• Advanced knowledge and skill managing a large, complex multi-phase project that requires multiple organization integration with diverse business operations, strategic information requirements, and priorities
• Knowledge of strategic planning principles and practices; knowledge of large-organization business operations
• Advanced skill in effectively communicating orally and in writing, including making formal presentations to groups and committees, influencing decision makers in a political environment, and working with the media; skill in working with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Skill in gathering, analyzing and synthesizing data; skill in effective paper and report writing; skill in effectively presenting statistical and narrative information to non-technical stakeholders
• Skill in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision making; handling multiple competing priorities
• Skill in supervising and leading multi-disciplinary work teams
Desired Qualifications:
