DCHS is seeking someone to lead DCHS's migration to Office 365 and other related technology solutions in a way that supports staff and minimizes disruptions to business continuity. This is a unique opportunity to work across all DCHS divisions and various lines of business. The person in this position will provide project planning and management to facilitate a successful implementation of new tools and systems.
King County is in the process of launching Office 365 and eliminating current file servers, resulting in the need for clean-up of current drives (using the retention schedule), shared drive documents moving to SharePoint or the cloud, and personal folders moving to the cloud. Additionally, there is an opportunity to coordinate with the coming implementation of a new Content Management (records management) system. This position is a Term Limited Temporary (TLT) or Special Duty opportunity expected to end in 18 months.

Work Schedule: This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is not overtime eligible. Typical hours are Monday - Friday 8am-5pm.

Planning, Design, Project Management and Implementation
- Provide project management for all activities included in the O365 implementation across all divisions within DCHS.
- Develop project strategy, work plans and schedules. Work with DCHS management, program managers, KCIT Project Team Leads, and others to understand budgetary, statutory and operating conditions for the project and incorporate into the project plan. This includes supporting and coordinating responsibilities for meeting project team objectives including scope, schedule and budget.
- Lead development of the vision for SharePoint design and governance for the DCHS business; or alternatively, work to implement the King County vision and standards should they be developed at an enterprise-wide level. Serve as point person for creation of new SharePoint sites.
- Work with the DCHS Compliance team, King County Records Management, and other King County agencies to determine records management impact, and develop guidance and employee education as tools to successfully move to the new systems.
- Serve as primary liaison to KCIT for all phases of the O365 migration including upgrade to MS 2013 or higher, move individual user pst files to the cloud, and transition to SharePoint from shared folders for collaborative work.
- Plan, convene and lead various internal and/or external work groups or committees, where appropriate.
- Create an environment that fosters open communication, team work, commitment to quality service, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Advise and facilitate the development and implementation of department policies and procedures for best practice and system requirements, and to comply with applicable regulations.
- Serve as expert, solicit and analyze recommended courses of action, and develop alternative solutions for consideration by leadership, as needed, to plan and implement O365 implementation.
- Research, create and coordinate a variety of project communications including status updates and information sharing with leadership and staff. Identify communications needs and issues over the course of the project. Work closely with DCHS communications staff to provide broad and vast communication to all department staff.
- Coordinate and promote special events and activities related to project implementation.
- Ensure that training, troubleshooting, and go-live support is adequate and appropriate for successful clean-up of current shared drives, implementation of Office 365 and the Content Management system.

- Advanced knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint, and working in a cloud-based environment
- Experience planning and implementing change management initiatives in complex business environments
- Skill as a team leader, trainer and facilitator
- Ability to convene and provide leadership to potential project team
- Knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies
- Knowledge of records management procedures and requirements
- Ability to develop communication at the individual, group and department levels and tailoring communications to the audience
- Ability to use critical thinking skills and to solve complex problems
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds and build consensus among a diverse group of individuals with varying opinions

- Demonstrated experience in handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. Ability to identify and prioritize time sensitive matters and respond with a sense of urgency, as needed
- Experience with Lean management techniques (visual and daily management, standard work, etc.)
