KCIT is seeking a Deputy Division Director for the Technology Division. The Deputy will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for the breadth of operational and infrastructure services that comprise the core set of IT services for King County. The incumbent will provide vision, leadership and planning to assure IT needs and services are effectively and appropriately delivered, including service operations, human and fiscal resources, business relationships, customer service, and intra- and inter institutional relationships. The Deputy will help establish and wholly direct the execution of strategic plans.
WORK SCHEDULE
The normal workweek for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative work schedules may be considered. This position is not eligible for overtime pay.

- Directs technical and service operations for county wide IT functions including setting technical direction in their span of control, developing capital and investment plans, providing KCIT leadership on technology, and ensuring effective delivery of services.
- Develops and maintains internal and external relationship including regional/national strategic relationships to cost effectively meet county goals.
- Identifies needs and oversees the long-term planning, development, implementation, service, and assessment for multiple IT units within the division with county wide scope.
- Oversees internal and external relationships, ensuring customer services and technical performance for county wide technology operations.
- Serves as a chair of the Architecture Review Team and serves as a member of the OCIO and Technology Group Leadership Team ensuring that KCIT and County strategic goals are being met.
- Supervision of management employees that oversee the staffing strategy and operations of multiple departments.
- Provide leadership that is engaging, imaginative, and collaborative, with a sophisticated ability to work with other leaders to set the best balance between data strategies and other county priorities.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals.
- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Services, Science, Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent work experience and education.
- 10 years of experience of management responsibilities within IT.
