This position is a unique opportunity within Public Health to be a member of the team who manages and supports Epic that supports Public Health's direct treatment services in more than 30 locations, some of which operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This recruitment is for a Functional Analyst II, internal applicants may apply. Assignments are for approximately 8 months which may be extended to 12 months. Incumbents will apply their knowledge of administrative and clinical workflows to support the Epic system support and maintenance, support assisting users of the Epic, our Electronic Health Record. This position will play a key role in customer satisfaction by providing the highest level of customer service, maintaining quality standards, facilitating training, and playing a key role in system implementation and maintenance and support activities.
This position reports to Jennifer Escriba, Application Support and Training Manager, Administrative Division.

Work Location: This position will be located in downtown Seattle in the Chinook Building. It may require travel to other King County locations.

- Perform Electronic Health Record (EHR) application support including problem analysis and resolution on the phone, in person and via email
- Work with clinic staff on EHR workflows and best practice development, both remotely and onsite at various clinics
- Assist with new application implementation, functionality, upgrades and enhancements
- Assist with testing of new functionality and configuration
- Perform system administration including security, new user requests and module-specific master-file maintenance
- Facilitate user training, update training materials and develop module-specific job aids
- Monitor quality assurance standards
- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
- Knowledge of ambulatory healthcare, clinical systems and documentation and electronic health record.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and prioritize customer reported issues and recognize critical issues.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service. This includes the demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, being responsive to requests and concerns.
- Demonstrated skill in analysis and problem solving, quality improvement and assurance.
- Ability to make recommendations to decision makers.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to a wide range of individuals including customers at various levels and to explain technical concepts in non-technical language.
- Demonstrated skill at working collaboratively.
- Ability to take initiative to complete necessary tasks or improvements and meet deadlines and accountability for producing timely, high quality work product.
Desired Qualifications:- Experience working in Public Health is preferred.
- Experience working with computers, software applications and printers.
- Experience using Epic EHR.
- Clinical licensure or certification such as PA, RN, LPN or MA certification highly desirable.

Necessary Special Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desktop.
- Must be able to work variable shifts twenty four hours a day seven days a week as directed by management. This work includes on call and after hours support.
- Ability to lift, bend, twist and stretch in order to move and retrieve boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
- The selected candidate must be required to pass a thorough DAJD and King County background investigation.

Public Health relies on office automation (Microsoft Office) and web-based enabled tools, therefore candidates must be proficient and comfortable with computer use to perform functions associated with on-going work.
