We currently have two exciting opportunities for nurse leaders for the role of Personal Health Services Supervisor (PHSS) in Parent Child Health and Primary Care/Family Planning programs based out of King County Public Health Centers. Public Health Centers provide patient centered services to adults, and children with specialty services for pregnant women and teens. The Personal Health Services Supervisor position is responsible for oversight and support of multi-disciplinary teams that may include: Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, RNs/BSNs, MAs, Registered Dieticians, Community Health Workers, Nutrition Assistants and Social Workers. This is an opportunity to lead an amazing team whose passion is to support low income families seeking exceptional medical care. You'll have overall responsibility for the hiring and daily supervision of the team. In addition, you will be a key member of the site leadership team, working with community agencies and community partners.
Primary Responsibilities May Include:
- Direct daily clinical supervision of the staff assigned to different services and programs at a Public Health Centers to include: hiring, performance evaluations, training, counseling, team building and staff development
- Lead program planning, implementation, coordination, compliance and evaluation
- Participation in planning, implementing, and monitoring program budgets
- Organization and facilitation of team meetings
- Collaboration with community providers to assess the public's needs, and develop program goals and objectives in line with community need
- Responsibility for overall center management during Area Manager absences
- Participation in departmental Quality Improvement efforts
- Assuring adequate staffing and coverage in collaboration with the float pool supervisor
- Assisting patients when complaints or issues arise
Requirements:
- Must possess a Baccalaureate in Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Must possess an active and unencumbered Washington State license as a Registered Nurse
- Must possess Documentation of current BLS CPR certification with AED training at time of hire
- Must possess the ability to travel between sites on a regular basis

- Have experience in the clinical management of a variety of health care providers, in the community health setting
- Demonstrate experience in personnel supervision, and management techniques
- Demonstrate mentorship skills and effective communication including strong conflict management skills
- Demonstrate skills in reflective supervision
- Have program development skills, and experience with Quality Improvement processes
- Have knowledge of occupational health, handling of hazards, and safety principles
- Demonstrate knowledge of primary care, family planning and maternity support services

The current opportunities are fully benefited, Career Service, 1.0 FTE – Exempt positions (not eligible for overtime). At Public Health Seattle-King County we strive to be accessible to those we serve.
