We are seeking a temporary Soccer Coach/Instructor (4 – 10 hours per week) to lead a Teen Soccer Class at Steve Cox Memorial Park in White Center. Candidates should have knowledge of classroom management, strong organization skills, enjoy working with teens, and have a passion for soccer.

Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position is flexible and can vary. This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is overtime eligible.
Job Duties Include:- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing and soccer instruction.
- Interact with participants in a positive and supportive manner, providing a role model for participants at all times.
- Be proactive in resolving conflict among youth and ensuring a safe environment.
- Enthusiastically promote and recruit youth for the program.
- Keep accurate attendance records of program activities.
- Set up equipment for program activities and store equipment and clean facility at end of program.
- Enforce Teen Program rules and King County policies and procedures.
- Represent King County Parks in a professional manner to youth, parents, school and agency personnel, and the community at large.
- Demonstrated prior teaching experience.
- Working knowledge of the principles, rules, materials and equipment required for a soccer program.
- Skill in providing excellent customer service to a diverse customer base.
- Skill in communicating clearly and respectfully.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with other employees.
- Demonstrated skill in providing and following oral and written instructions.
- Ability to prepare written reports as assigned.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations that may arise.
- Ability to working outdoors in all types of weather as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist with program set-up and take-down.
- Maintenance of current CPR and First Aid certifications.
