MICROSOFT CORPORATION seeks a Program Manager in Redmond, WA. Coordinate program dev. of comp. s/w apps., systems or services, working w/dev & prod. planning teams. Write functional specs. and apply principles and techniques of comp. sci., engg. or math. analysis. Areas of responsibility span the product life cycle & include owning or contributing to the vision & strategy creation for the prod. or service, designing all areas of the prod. or service, and managing implementation to support the prod. or service release. Also responsible for overall comm. within the team, with other business groups, & with customers & partners. Work on specific s/w features or sections of code. Understand the product vision in order to align software feature priorities. Understand customer & partner needs in order to create specs., designs, or plans for s/w features or projects. Remove obstacles and influence consensus within his/her s/w feature or project team. May be assigned to various projs. that utilize the req. tech. skills to deploy successful prod. releases, from early prod. definition and scoping to detailed specs, implementation and roll-out phases. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location. 8AM to 5PM, Mon-Fri; Standard co. benefits. Salary $155,150 to $175,150 /yr. Req. a Master's or foreign degree equiv. in Comp. Sci., Engg., Math., Telecom., Info. Sys., or a rel. field. Position also reqs. 1 yr of exp. managing s/w processes for op.,sys., proj., tools or policies. Educ. or exp. in: Coordinating program development of computer software applications, systems, or services from design through product release; Data Structures; Algorithms; Distributed Systems; Big data modeling and analysis; Machine Learning; and AI.
