MICROSOFT CORPORATION has 10 openings in its Redmond, WA offices for Service Engineers. Research & test OS-level SW compilers, & network distrib. SW. Plan, architect, deploy &/or support complex client/server or base SW syst. Provide guidance & possess a unique knowledge of a tech. or sub-discipline. Set operational specs. & formulate & analyze SW reqs. Establish standards for a des., architecture, & recovery process which results in compre., scalable disaster recovery plans across mult. groups & services. Dev. or contrib. to creating an implt., validation, & rollback plan. Lead investigations of problems by using standard & custom problem mgmnt. tools & processes. Support Azure cust. real-time through chat, screen sharing, research and call-back, as part of a global support delivery team. Go technically deep across Azure services (at least level 200-300) and actively seek solns. to cust. needs and comm. trends to leadership. Turn Azure cust. to Azure fans by improving support efficiency through finding opp. to optimize existing processes and tools. Build a close working relationship with the teams related to assigned service areas to leverage in case of escalations, as well as to drive prod. improvements. Build and update Azure prod. documentation to help cust. deliver solns. on Azure. Work closely with the feat. Engineering teams to report bugs, expedite bug fixes and bubble up feat. requests. Triage and troubleshoot technical issues in cloud infrastructure, platform services, SW prod. such as compute, storage, networks, apps., databases and other Azure services. Identify, des., dev., and test workarounds and solns. to technical issues. REQ: Master’s degr or foreign equiv. degr in Comp. Sci., Eng, Math, Info Syst, Phy, or rel., & Any computer-related title and six (6) months of exp. designing., implementing, or supporting SW syst. or solns. SPECIFIC SKILLS: Position also requires educ. or exp. in: Azure; Azure Services; SQL Server; SQL and/or T-SQL; CosmosDB; Windows Administration; and PowerShell.

8AM-5PM, M-F. The offered base pay range for this specific position (Job Reference #: MIC04723), in Redmond, WA, is $156,140 to $186,140.

Microsoft has diff. base pay ranges for diff. work locations w/in the U.S., which allows us to pay EEs competitively & consistently in diff. geo markets. Indiv. base pay depends on var. factors, in addition to primary work loc, such as complexity & responsibility of role, job duties/reqs., & rel. exp. & skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed & typically updated each yr. Offers are made w/in the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for add’l. rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus & stock. These awards are allocated based on indiv. perf. In addition, certain roles also have the opp. to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan & EE’s role.
