JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Director of Support Services. This position supervises shipping, receiving, storage, delivery and inventory to and from the district warehouse. The position also oversees garbage collection, recycling collection and sludge disposal. Responsibilities include maintaining efficient schedules for all district deliveries and work requests; maintaining a positive working relationship with all customers; filling orders and arranging for deliveries. This is a working supervisory position and is not represented by a union.

1. Establishes and prioritizes schedules for hauling and shipping supplies, food supplies, equipment, furniture, mail, repairs, district stock orders, surplus, computers, school money, debris, and other items between District sites and the central warehouse.
2. Plans assignment of staff based on projected needs. Conducts hiring, training and evaluation of warehouse and delivery staff.
3. Coordinates schedules for receiving and delivery of food products with Nutrition Services managers. Establishes schedules for the pick-up and disposal of waste, recycling and compost materials from schools. Assigns staff as needed to ensure safe and healthy environment is maintained at schools.
4. Establishes internal policies and procedures covering warehouse safety, security, inventory procedures, shipping, receiving, scheduling and other matters related to the operation of assigned area of responsibility. Evaluates equipment and subordinates' work procedures to ensure OSHA standards for safety are met. Takes corrective action when required. Stays abreast of OSHA revisions and ensures staff are trained in safety standards.
5. Schedules with administrators and other District staff the moving of equipment, furniture, or supplies for the opening or closing of schools; coordinates with community groups the delivery and pick up of furniture and equipment rented from the District. Ensures staff and equipment are available to meet clients' needs.
6. Monitors stock levels of inventory kept in warehouse; maintains warehouse inventory records. Determines layout of warehouse facility providing for the physical storage and space utilization of materials. Evaluates materials and equipment through usage or feedback from users to establish minimum and maximum reorder quantity. Works with purchasing to identify unusual situations requiring adjustments. Recommends alternative equipment or materials.
7. Develops program procedures and work methods for inventory control and surplus disposal. Develops and recommends internal policies related to inventory control to ensure the District complies with state inventory control regulations. Designs and updates forms for use in maintaining accurate inventory records. Develops and maintains inventory control policy and procedure manual for use by District staff. Develops procedures for and oversees the conduct of the annual physical count.
8. Researches State laws and regulations related to the disposal of surplus property and ensures disposal of property complies with State requirements. Oversees scheduling and method of surplus sales; prepares auctioneer contracts.
9. Develops budgets for inventory control, warehouse, and revenue account; manages budget expenditures and revenue. Works with District staff to develop and assess needs; submits recommendations for changes/improvements.
10. Performs other related duties consistent with scope and intent of assignment as assigned.
Salary: NNRAP-Professional Technical Salary Schedule, Level III. $88,768.00 - $93,262.00; placement on the salary schedule is determined by Human Resources DOE. FLSA Exempt.
Work Year: 8.0 Hours a day; 260 days a year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. An Associate's Degree in business operations, management, or related fields strongly preferred. Five or more years of warehouse experience, including one year of supervisory experience. Experience working in a school district environment desired.

Ability to read, write, speak and compute effectively; ability to organize and prioritize work; ability to maintain strict confidentiality; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of staff and the public; ability to be attentive to details and follow through on tasks to completion; ability to work effectively under deadline pressure.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Warehouse and office environment; required to meet inflexible deadlines; periodically required to deal with distraught or upset individuals; occasionally required to attend evening meetings; required to sit for prolonged periods; occasionally required to lift or carry heavy items; required to travel to various sites; required to work long hours during busy periods.
