Salary Range: $78,447 - $93,670 per year
Portland Public Schools (PPS) Chief of Staff Department is looking for a Legislative Liaison to plan, develop, and implement action plans regarding proposed legislation including advocacy of the District's interests with legislators and other governmental officials. The Legislative Liaison will research, coordinate, and communicate to support the District's strategic plan and vision, key programs, and initiatives focusing on centering racial equity and advancing PPS' commitment to its theory of action in policy and legislative priorities. The incumbent will foster healthy dialogue with PPS Leadership, Elected Officials, and staff to advance racial equity and social justice.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Law, Education, Business, Public Administration, or a related field
- Three (3) years of experience in an administrative position analyzing legislative processes, coordinating advocacy events, and working directly with elected and government officials
