The Workers’ Compensation Trust and Unemployment Pool (WCTUP), in partnership with Puget Sound Educational Service District, seeks a Claims Consultant, Time Loss to evaluate, process, and manage workers’ compensation claims within the guidelines of industrial insurance laws and state regulations, documenting activities, and conveying information regarding claims and benefits.
The Workers’ Compensation Trust (WCT) is a self-insured pool for workers’ compensation coverage. The Trust provides insurance for on-the-job injuries for 35 school districts and PSESD and their 45,000 employees in King, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom counties.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts and state approved charter and private schools in Washington. Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree in job related field (HS Diploma/GED and progressively responsible work-related experience may substitute for AA degree).
- Minimum of three (3) years professional experience in management of workers’ compensation time loss claims.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently hold or are actively pursuing any of the following certifications:
- Associate in Claims (AIC),
- Washington Workers’ Compensation Professional (WCCP), and/or
- State certified to adjudicate workers’ compensation claims
- Completed Washington Self-Insurers Association courses
