Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks an Equity in Education Manager to provide leadership through services and collaborations to eliminate the opportunity gap in the PSESD region and supporting a racially diverse and thriving educator workforce.
The Equity in Education Manager will collaborate with school district personnel, PSESD staff, community agencies, families, etc. to support professional development on leading with racial equity. The Equity in Education Manager will also provide training and facilitation of action plans and the adoption of successful strategies, provide technical assistance to individual schools and districts, and develop and implement professional development programs.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts and state approved charter and private schools in Washington. Serving over 39% of Washington’s K-12 public school students, our agency provides critical services designed to ensure that our students are ready to enter school, achieve at high levels in the K-12 system, and succeed in postsecondary endeavors. Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Sociology, or related field, or an AA/AAS degree in same fields and progressively responsible job-related experience
- Experience promoting systemic change with a racial equity focus, within or in partnership with schools
- Experience providing professional learning on cultural proficiency and/or antiracism training
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and/or knowledge of research-based practices
- Experience and/or knowledge of data analysis to identify research-based practices
- Experience with racially and/or culturally diverse populations
- Current or previous Teaching Certificate desired
