Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks a Math, Science, and PreK-12 Systems Director to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of STEM, P-3 Systems, Career Technical Education, Financial Literacy, and Inclusionary Practices programs and services for the ESD; work with assigned departments and participating school districts of the Kindergarten-Postsecondary Division of Learning, Teaching, and Family Support in providing access to professional development options.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction or related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in related field with increasing levels of job-related experience
- Current Washington State Teaching or Administrative Certificate
- Professional experience in the public K-12 educational system, including experience with content instruction or instructional leadership, facilitating groups, and leading professional learning for adults
- Professional experience developing or co-developing curriculum alignment with K-12
- Experience in promoting systemic change with a racial equity focus, within or in partnership with school districts
- Experience leading and supervising staff toward shared outcomes
- Experience in budget development and management
- Demonstrates the ability to cultivate and maintain relationship with regional STEM partners
- Demonstrates a commitment to leading with racial equity and understanding of antiracism
- Demonstrates a commitment to increasing inclusivity for students historically underrepresented in STEM
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience writing grants
- Experience with data preparation and analysis
- Program/Initiative implementation experience
- Demonstrates the ability to cultivate and maintain relationship with regional STEM partners
- Strategic ability to connect with the tech industry and develop sustainable internships and funding opportunities for the program
Job Specific Competencies for Math, Science, and PreK-12 Systems Director
- Continuous Improvement of Programs and Systems: Collaborates with stakeholders to identify, recommend and implement improvements to Agency programs, services and processes.
- Curriculum and Instructional Support: Demonstrates knowledge and expertise related to State and Federal learning standards and curriculum adaptation and implementation. Utilizes evidence-based research regarding teaching strategies to advance practices that meet the needs of all students.
- Managing and Measuring Work: Prioritizes and organizes work plans based on objectives and desired outcomes. Collaborates and shares responsibility for decisions and monitors progress toward goals by establishing strong feedback channels.
- Professional Development Facilitation: Sharing knowledge and expertise with the goal of improving professional skills and knowledge through adult learning programs.
